The Master of Pharmacy Practice is an off-campus, coursework-based degree, flexible enough to fit into any pharmacist's professional development plan. The course is designed to enable students to develop a deep and more specialised range of attributes that builds upon the foundations of an undergraduate pharmacy degree.
Pharmacy practice is the study of the role of the pharmacist, professionalism, dispensing, health and the individual, and healthcare in our society.
The Master of Pharmacy Practice prepares students for a range of more advanced practice roles. Graduates may be entitled to a salary increment.
You need to satisfy the following entrance requirements to be considered for entry to this course.
- An Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) level 8 qualification in pharmacy (eg. bachelor of pharmacy with honours or Graduate Certificate or graduate diploma) or equivalent.
- Registered as a pharmacist.
- English language requirements.
Applicants with a Bachelor of Pharmacy (without Honours) may be considered for admission if they can demonstrate the required knowledge and skills. Assessment will be by portfolio submission.
International students located in Australia wishing to study this course must be registered as a pharmacist in Australia and have the appropriate visa to allow part-time study. All other international students are only able to study this course in their country of residence.
Applicants must also meet the English language requirements.
